The Linz Botanical Garden is in a very beautiful location atop the “Gugl” hill in close proximity to Linz’s football stadium. The outdoor section of the Garden is divided up into several differently themed sections which exhibit plant communities of different ecosystems. The Japanese Garden and the Rosarium are great examples of ornamental gardens. In the Garden’s five greenhouses you will find exotic plants, among others a significant collection of cacti and orchids. Somewhat beyond the main Garden is the 14-hectare Arboretum, which is home to approximately 700 species of trees.
The Linz Botanical Garden should not only be seen as a plant exhibition but as also offering a well-curated mix between culture and nature.
